Tamar Braxton and Con Funk Shun to Headline Westbank Heritage Food & Music Festival at the Alario Center
(Louisiana) – The Westbank Heritage Food & Music Festival is set to light up the Alario Center September 21-22, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a weekend full of entertainment, food, and family fun. This year’s festival boasts an exciting lineup, headlined by the tantalizing Tamar Braxton and the legendary Con Funk Shun, along with performances by renowned Louisiana performers like Keith Frank, T-Ray the Violinist, and Royal Essence.
In addition to the musical performances, the festival will feature over 25 food, clothing, and craft vendors, showcasing the best of the Westbank’s talent. Families can also enjoy a dedicated Kids Zone and Photo Booth experience throughout the weekend. A highlight of the festival will be the third annual Gospel Explosion, taking place on Sunday, September 22, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. inside the Alario Center. Admission to the festival is free, with parking available for $15 per vehicle.
Jefferson Parish Councilmember, Byron Lee expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating, “The Westbank Heritage Food & Music Festival is a unifying event that highlights the culture and values of the Westbank.”
Jonathan Stewart, President of the New Growth Economic Development Association, added, “The festival fuels support for local businesses and fosters community pride.”
The marketplace vendors will be featured along the festival’s Bestbank Boulevard, sponsored by Priority Health Care.
