Westbank Heritage Food & Music Festival Scheduled for Sept. 20-21 with Dynamic Entertainment Lineup

(Louisiana) – The Westbank Heritage Food & Music Festival–renowned as an electrifying food and music experience– will take place at the Alario Center, 2000 Segnette Blvd. in Westwego, La., during the “Westbank’s Weekend,” September 20-21, 2025. The festival will take place from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

Artists scheduled to perform at this year’s event include: Big Pokey Bear, Mia X with The Original Pinettes Brass Band, Rockin Dopsie Jr. & The Zydeco Twisters, Shamarr Allen, Choppa, Royal Essence, The Roots of Music, and more.

The 2025 Westbank Heritage Food & Music Festival will also feature:

  • The Priority Health Bestbank Boulevard with more than 20 food and marketplace vendors
  • The Kids Zone experience with interactive games and activities
  • The Visit Jefferson Photo Booth Experience
  • The 4th annual Gospel Explosion on Sunday, Sept. 21, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., inside the Alario Center
  • Sunday Worship Experience led by Pastor Jonathan Everett of Rock of Ages Baptist Church

Tamar Braxton and Con Funk Shun to Headline Westbank Heritage Food & Music Festival at the Alario Center

(Louisiana) – The Westbank Heritage Food & Music Festival is set to light up the Alario Center September 21-22, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a weekend full of entertainment, food, and family fun. This year’s festival boasts an exciting lineup, headlined by the tantalizing Tamar Braxton and the legendary Con Funk Shun, along with performances by renowned Louisiana performers like Keith Frank, T-Ray the Violinist, and Royal Essence.

In addition to the musical performances, the festival will feature over 25 food, clothing, and craft vendors, showcasing the best of the Westbank’s talent. Families can also enjoy a dedicated Kids Zone and Photo Booth experience throughout the weekend. A highlight of the festival will be the third annual Gospel Explosion, taking place on Sunday, September 22, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. inside the Alario Center. Admission to the festival is free, with parking available for $15 per vehicle.

Jefferson Parish Councilmember, Byron Lee expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating, “The Westbank Heritage Food & Music Festival is a unifying event that highlights the culture and values of the Westbank.”

Jonathan Stewart, President of the New Growth Economic Development Association, added, “The festival fuels support for local businesses and fosters community pride.”

The marketplace vendors will be featured along the festival’s Bestbank Boulevard, sponsored by Priority Health Care.

(Louisiana) – The 2024 Westbank Heritage Food & Music Festival will take place September 21 – 22, 2024 (“The Westbank’s Weekend”). The event will feature live music from mainstream and local artists, a Gospel Explosion, and an interactive Kids Zone experience.
